Meet Your Pilot: Tamlyn Grace
My love for the sky isn't a hobby, it's a commanding obsession that started the second I stepped into a Cessna 152 with my dad. I quickly moved on to flying a twin-engine plane with my husband, but I was craving something bigger. The ultimate challenge found me in my late 50s.
I hosted a pilot during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, crewed for ten relentless days, and decided right then: I was taking this on. Seven months later, I owned a balloon and was mastering how to pilot an aircraft that literally has no steering wheel or navigation. Forget cruise control; I have to be the boss of the weather and Mother Nature's every move. It's tough, it's exhilarating, and it demands constant respect.
